Change of image of Internet Cafe Selangor

Link to us: http://sn.im/v01ln

Hi everyone, today I will like to talk about change image of Internet Café. Internet Café in Selangor was planned to change the design to a better environment. So that, the problem of illegal gambling and truancy among the students will be soon overcome it more effectively.

According from The Star online article, “we are looking at making the cafes like a library,” said Bronson Chua, Selangor Cyber Owners Association President and its member were still finalizing details regarding the new look.

The new features proposed to add were having a mini post office and a lounge area in the Internet Cafés. The reason of these new features is because it can make the Internet Café look more to library and customers can spend their quality time at there. Moreover, having a mini post office is to let the public help to keep on eye in the Internet Cafes, so that there will not have any illegal action or any truancy students. Co-operation between the local government, police as well as the Chua’s association is needed to stem the spread of illegal cybercafes and the social problems brought about by them.

“We will be presenting the layout plan to Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim. We will proceed with the changes once we get the green light,” he said. They will also going to work with the Youth Ministry’s Remaja Cyber group to disseminate information, organise cyber sports and competitions for everyone.

This is the example of the new design layout of the Internet Café.

Weekly Poll Result 7

Link to us: http://sn.im/v01l6

Good evening to all my readers and this is Jason Goh here and I'm going to continue my next weekly poll result on the previous post. The poll question that we posted last week is regarding about 'In your experience, what's your main purpose or expectation when you enter I.C?'.

The result and respond from our participant are all basically equal because there is relation between all the expectation when a customer or user enters I.C. The choices of answers are gaming, comfort, toilet, speed connection and design of I.C.

33% for each responded gaming purposes, comfort and design of I.C. It's obvious that user and customer visits I.C for gaming purposes. Mostly are youngsters who visits I.C and even adults also do visit however they're also for gaming purposes.

Thus, everyone do expect for comfortable environment, with a comfortable environment, customer feels comfortable to do their work or play their game. The mains are the coldness of the environment, chair, food and beverage plays big role in it.

For the third same percentage is design of I.C. Why do design of I.C play role? Usually this will occur to a new opening I.C. An I.C who just start business usually will come up with a promotion of cheaper price or free gaming and the deign must be set nicely such as position of the tables and chairs, wallpaper and counter.

Last but not least is the 2 result that nobody supported are toilet and speed connection. User or customer do not purposely visit I.C for their toilets. However for connection speed, customer do not also purposely visit I.C to evaluate the connection speed. Main thing is that if the internet is working than the customer is fine.

That's all for the result this week. Thank You to all our readers who participated the poll quiz and hope to get good feedback from you guys.

No let-up in action against illegal cybercafes

Link to us: http://sn.im/v01jv

Good day everyone. Today I will like to share the topic of illegal Internet Cafés. As the illegal Internet Cafés are increasing, the enforcement teams are strongly increasing their attention towards this issue.

According to the article from The Star online on Monday, July 20, 2009, the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) is constantly carrying out operations and monitoring cyber cafes in the city. From January, the MBPJ has carried out 217 operations, where 173 premises were sealed and 120 were slapped with compounds.

According from the MBPJ public relations officer, Zainun Zakaria, she stated that the Internet Cafés should only operate on the ground floor and dark tinted glasses are not allowed to put on it. This is because police could not see clearly what is the activities happened in the Internet Café if the glasses are tinted black and can see the Internet Café easier on the ground floor then upper floor. So that the Internet Café will not has a chance to do the illegal activities such as online gambling and others.

For those Internet Cafés which operating the online gambling session, they usually used codes and closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras to allow regular customers to come in. “Like in other areas, there is a trend for gambling but sometimes it is difficult to identify,” she said, adding that the city council was working together with the police to tackle the problem.

Under the MBPJ, there are more than 100 licensed Internet Café and over 200 unlicensed Internet Café are operating the business. When they come under the Cyber Centre and Cyber Cafe Bylaw (MBPJ) 2007, Gambling in cyber cafes violates the regulation.

Weekly Poll Post 6

Link to us: http://sn.im/v02v7

Good evening to all my fellow readers, as usual that I will be posting our latest weekly poll result. The question that I posted up on our weekly poll post quiz section is I gave choices of answers and the question stated is ' Based on the following games, which game you usually play in I.C'. The choices given are Dota, Left4Dead2, Call Of Duty 4, Counter Strike and lastly Online Games. All this games are common and famous in I.C.

At the moment and also as usual Dota is the most famous game all around the world and played by youngsters till the elders. This game also can be very well addictive to most of the players. 27% stated that they will visit I.C and commonly will target to play Dota. Dota is a game where can be played by 10 players and is all about defending their towers. It is 5 VS 5 game and it can be played either by LAN or internet. However on the latest game just came out and also famous before is also Left4Dead however now it came up with a new version of Left4Dead2. It has upgrade lots of new function and very user friendly. This game can be played up to 8 players and it can be 4 VS 4 as 4 in survivors and another 4 are zombies. It also can be played either in LAN or internet however it is well recommended to play by LAN. Thats why players have to visit I.C for this particular game. For the internet section, they have to use GARENA to play using the internet. This same goes to Dota. the percentage of this 2 games are the same with the same purposes.

Hence for another 2 games are also in a same percentage as much up to 18%. Most players also play Counter Strike and Online Games. Basically online games can also be played at home, however players intend to go to I.C either with the reason of slow or no internet connection or joining with other players face to face. They also can play side by side as easier to communicate. Thus, counter strike and Left4Dead are in the same company, however counter strike requires player to play in it. They do have computers to play with but it gets more interesting playing with other players as a challenge. Counter Strike is based on terrorism and counter terrorist and also support up to many players, as usual up to 32 players. Its best recommend to play LAN but it also can be played in GARENA. After finishing my analysis I will explain about GARENA.

Last but not least is Call of Duty 4. It comes with different version from version 1 to the latest is 4. Call of Duty is also similar as counter strike but more onto the army field and also relates with guns. It can be played as usual LAN and internet but usually player play in LAN and in I.C because not many people are able to play this alone at home. Its very much recommended LAN.

Well before I leave, Garena is an application that supports this games to be played online and many players use it when they are at home. Its also something relates with social media where you are able to meet other players and be friends.

Thats all for today and my post, both of us are getting tired. Well hope this helps more understanding on the players behavior in I.C and which games are played the most.

Internet Cafe Ban Call Angered Chinese Hackers

Link to us: http://sn.im/v01hs

This incident happens in China. It is an example of a cyber terrorism.

What happened was that a lady, Yan Qi, who is a member of the China legislative advisory body said that she wanted to propose an international ban on private cyber cafes that exist. Following her announcement, hackers all over china got angered that they launch an attack on her, not physical attack but cyber attack.

The hackers went online and paralysed the website of her restaurant chain. Yan, whose business is based in the southwest city of Chongqing, blamed internet cafes for social ill ragings from school truancy and petty theft to video game addiction. Yan was caught quoted "Many serious problems are linked to Internet cafes and businesspeople usually ignore their social responsibilities". She also said that desperate diseases must have drastic cures.

Yan was planning to propose the ban at the annual gathering of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which began Wednesday, suggesting that state-run cybercafes should be set up. Following her plan, the hackers repeatedly went online hacking into the website of her restaurant chain, Taoranju, changing the home page and removing links.

What we see here is an example of a cyber terrorism. People may see cyber threat as not so dangerous but here, someone's life and career is destroying or may have been destroyed. So internet can be dangerous when people use it the wrong way. Anything can be dangerous when the wrong people with the wrong thinking use it the wrong way.

Internet Cafe furniture

Link to us : http://sn.im/v02ql

Hi everyone, David here. Today I will like to talk about the topic about Internet Café Furniture. Besides design your own Internet Café, you also have to choose the right furniture for your café in order to attract more customers. Choosing the right furniture is also has to depend on your target market. If you mainly just want to have more customers and more computers which is efficiency way, then you have a lot of options to choose.

When come to furniture, there have two main points you have to concern. Which are you can do it in efficiency way and make the Internet Cafe to an upmarket which is target the coffee drinker with a wide range of Internet services. In the upmarket way, there are just basic in term of computer terminal furniture, but the cafeterias are very stylish. For example,

From the efficiency way, you can imagine that all the computers are located very near each other and are very pack. In the early days of Internet Café in mid-90s, the décor in almost every Internet Café was looked very dull and boring. But now the world is keep changing, most cafés have updated their look to a more eye-pleasing level. For example,

Moreover, you can also arrange some sofas to your Internet Café if you have more space. Sofa is also very popular among those customers who waiting their friends to log off from the computer or those who come to access your wireless network with their laptop if you provided.

Weekly Poll Results 5

Link to us: http://sn.im/v02qb

To all my readers. Jason here reporting for another week on our weekly poll post result. Previously the question I came up with is 'By law, I.C is not allowed to open 24/7. Do you think that the law should allow I.C to open 24/7 everyday?' i felted that this question is very interesting is because I.C usually open during the midnight however some will get caught by the police if there is a sport check or either some will close their shop but inside they still have customers.

72% of our respondents said Yes and the analysis proven that there is customer still coming in and out from I.C even during midnight. It's not an offend if they do business at night. It actually helps to make more income monthly by working more hours. Why do you think the law doesn't allow I.C to work overtime? will see on the next result below.

NO!!!! After reading my analysis, 27% say No. As the above it relates to the bottom also. firstly is because of youngsters. Youngsters who are underage are illegal to visit I.C during the night. The law came up with this rule is because of youngster without discipline visiting I.C during the midnight. Do you ever think why their parents doesn't control them? It's easy, now this days youngsters are very daring disobeying their parents and also sneaking out from the house. They just wanna get their satisfaction on getting the game they love to play where they don't have the chance to play at home. It is also due to several reasons such as, no internet connection or it's late and parents do not allow them to play.

Phew that's all for today, it's time to get my bed now. Hope you all get enough informative information, if there is any question or you couldn't understand, feel free to leave a comment. Thanks ^^

Cyber Cafes for Gambling

Link to us: http://sn.im/v02pn

Everyone likes to gamble. Not the life gamble but the money gambling. It is wrong for some and it is not for others. However, it is wrong when it is played at the wrong place don't you agree?

i found an articles which talked about gambling activities in cyber cafes. This subject is very concerned about because as we all know, majority of the cyber cafes visitors are teenagers and young adults. The ministry is worried on this matter because they do not want these youths to be involved in such behavior.

the gambling that i am talking about is not the physical gambling but online because the operators possesed some kind of gambling software and let gamblers use it in their premises. Deputy Minister Datuk M.Saravanan said that based on the ministry's observation, most of the cyber cafes in the federal capital did have this gambling software and let it be played in their premises.

that's all i am talking about this week. enjoy your week and thank you.

Internet Cafe design

Link to us: http://sn.im/v02pd

Hi everyone, today I will like to talk about the Internet Café design. The design for the Internet Café is very important to help you to maximize your profit in every single square feet. Of cause a nice and comfortable Internet Café design will attract more customers to come and become very popular.

To have an easier way to think of the design of your Internet Cafe is to start the franchises business. The reason of it is because most of the Internet Cafés who have the franchises business will have their own overall design, colour schemes, furniture placement, customer flow, and so on.

Well, Internet Café design is much more depends on the demand VS supply situation. Demand is refer to the Internet Café which has very good business and has a lot of customers demand for the seats is more than what you has provided, then you may go for the very effective and tight design for your Internet Café, where every square feet produces money. This kind of situation mostly faces by Chinese Internet Café, where the need for basic Internet access drives customers to Internet Café. Examples for demand situation and tight design,

Photobucket

Photobucket

Besides that, also got some Internet Cafes will not have the luck of the demand situation, so some of them will go for up market approach rather than design efficiency. The idea of this is to get more profit per customer instead of trying to go for high volume approach. They will have their own unique and creative design to attract more customers and also will supply some food and beverage to the customers. Examples of the design,

In addition, you also can use pre-made Internet Café design so that you will not need to reinvent the wheel. You can just learn from the existing Internet Café design and how they arrange the furniture.

Kesilapan yang Biasa dalam Bisnes Kafe Berinternet

Link to us: http://sn.im/v02ow

(0.6-0.15)

Okey...jadi, katakanlah anda baru sahaja membuka sebuah kafe berinternet.

(2.22-2.36)

Terima kasih kerana mendegar dan selamat tinggal.
(2.37-2.40)

HOW TO START YOUR OWN INTERNET CAFE BUSINESS

Link to us:http://sn.im/v02oh

Hi it's me again Jason Goh here and this time I'm not here to give any analysis result but I'm here to share my information with all the viewers. First of all I would like to wish everyone a great Happy Chinese New Year to everyone especially my viewers. I still would like to thank to all my viewers for viewing our blog every week and also participate our weekly poll quiz.

•Budget – An I.C it’s best at least a minimum of 20 seats helps to earn some profit however if you’re budget is bigger than its best the more seats, the more money you will need. If you don’t have the cash, you can find partners to pool in money. Also, I would suggest against forming a business with your close friends.

•Location – Location is one of the KEY FACTORS FOR SUCCESS. Keywords to look for when scouting; near a school, heavy foot traffic, not too many competitors in the area. You should try to look for a place that’s easy to spot (from the customers perspective)

•Hardware – Remember, a good hardware is very much important and budget also plays an important role also. In order to get a potential computer it’s not just for the cost but the life spent and its speed of the computer. Having a slow PC might hit a big impact to the users. Bigger memory, graphic card and etc is very much needed and it doesn’t need to change PC after few years later.

•Connection – A faster and decent connection in your cafe will be a key selling point. Don’t worry too much about marketing, if you have the best computers and the fastest connection in your area, sheer WORD-OF-MOUTH will drive customers through YOUR door. At least get the best kbps package that you can afford. Also, if you have the money, you can always get another as back-up in case your primary connection goes down.

•Software – In all programs of software from gaming to office use, it’s better to get license software because you might get in trouble if getting caught by the government. Software’s can be supply by certain suppliers on gaming and office uses. Thus, you might also get sponsors for using their product.

•Other services – Food and drinks is always a good extra source of income and also providing comfort to the customers.

Alright thats all for this week on my latest information. Got to go Night.

Setakat ini sahaja untuk informasi minggu ini. Sekian Terima Kasih

1. Always log out: Whenever you want to leave your computer or finish using it, you better log out your all the websites that consists of your username and password. Websites such as bank account websites, check mail, instant messaging and others. If you just simply close the browser or restart the computer is not enough because if someone using the same websites or services after you, they might be able to trace your account and access it. Moreover, do not save your login information that allow automatic login. That will easier to let other users to access your account, so you should disable the option before you log in your account.

3. Clear history and temporary files: The browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and others all will save the pages you have visited in the History folder or in Temporary Internet Files. Because of that, your password will also might be store in the browser if the option is enabled to save the username and passwords. Therefore, before you use the computer, you should go check the setting and delete all the history after you have done using the computer.

4. Avoid online financial transactions: You must avoid use online financial transaction in the public computer such as internet café. Instead you should find a safer place such home or friend’s house to do that. Examples for using online financial transaction are online banking, online shopping and other transactions that require you to enter the sensitive information like credit card or bank account details then you should not do in the public places. You will never know how the people will track your privacy.

Hi it's me again Jason here, and as usual you know what I'm here for. On this week poll quiz is about 'What is the lowest price you ever experienced in I.C? the choices given is RM 0.50, RM 1, RM 1.50 and RM 2.

As usual the normal rate of I.C price in the market is RM 2 and many people think is normal. Most of the I.C i experienced myself are also RM 2. However the lowest price i ever experienced is also RM 1.50. Based on my analysis, the result came up to be RM 1.50 are the majority who experience it with this rate. With this rate, the I.C should be very big I.C with lots of computer. That's their target way of earning profit.

On the other hand, RM 1 with the result of 25% is also supported however is very rare that this I.C would offer this rate. It usually happens on a promotion or events. RM 1 is the lowest price indicated in the quiz however RM 0.50 with 0% are not supported. Based on my research, RM 0.50 usually happens when a new I.C has open business. It's also rare with this rate. I.C owners will either pick free gaming time or with minimum fee RM 0.50 when they just open business.

Lastly RM 2 is also supported with 25%, the reason why is also 25% is because that RM 2 is a normal rate in the market price and not many people experience lower price than this. It is obvious that RM 2 doesn't make any impact in the market price.

Well that's all for my poll this week and today is the 1st day of Chinese New Year and i would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone Happy Chinese New Year, Bye.

Tighter Laws for Internet Cafe

Link to us: http://snipr.com/ueamu

Happy holidays to you all. I am filled with the holiday's spirit makes me a bit lazy, hahaha but i still going to carry out my responsibility.

Remember i posted a post titled Enforcing the Law? Well i do because i did it. Anyway, this new post is also about the law only it is a different article. It is not the same because the old post talked about enforcing the law but this one talks about tighter laws.

From what i read, there are differences between the laws before and the ones that are to be executed. My last post they are telling the Internet Cafes to close by midnight as a concern to the teenagers that are pestering near these cafes even after midnight. Now they put up new laws where these cafes can only operate using the ground floor of buildings. No more two storey Internet Cafes.

According to Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin, cyber cafes operators are banned from using tinted windows so that their cafes can be seen from the outside. It is so that people can see what is happening inside to make sure there are no illegal activities being carry out inside the cafes.

Alcohols and cigarettes are both a no-no inside the premises. According to the article, operators need to keep record of the time of all their customers in and out of their premises and they need to also send the names of the students that went and use their services to the students' schools.

Any of the operaters that does not comply with the guidelines will and shall be blacklisted. Not only that, their names will be sent to all local authorities and they will not be allow to open this type of business in any part of Malaysia.

It seems that cyber cafes laws are getting tighter but still, a lot more has been neglecting these guidelines, that's one thing i am sure of. One thing i am not sure of is that whether these laws have been enforced or not. Anyway....this is the end for my post, enjoy this holiday people and thank you to all.

Internet Cafe software

Link to us: http://snipr.com/ug4vd

Happy Chinese New Year guys...!!! Gong Xi Fa Cai... Hope you all enjoy the holiday... This time I want to talk about the Internet Cafe software. Discuss on what types of software that Internet Cafe used? Well, here are the examples of the software in other countries:-

1. Hotspot software – This is the software used for charging the WiFi billing to those who use the Internet Café’s wireless supply. This is a “no client installation” software which means that the users no need install any software of this. This software will redirect the users to Internet Café’s login page to sign in or pay before getting the Internet access. This software required the bandwidth management which is very useful in controls time and also the bandwidth usage for unlimited user accounts and also can connects multiple WiFi hotspots to the same database. This software can help the owner to accept the credit card payments with more than 70 payment gateways.

2. Internet Café software – This is a server and client based software. This software is used to counting the time usage and charge for the cost that you fixed in the Internet Café. Internet Café software can help to control the game console and limited the customer activities the way you want to set. For examples, hides desktop icons, the Windows button, the access to the system and others. This software can easily help you to manage the customers’ account, security, games and program usages. This software supports many 30 languages and is deployed in more than 170 countries. In addition, Internet Café software can change the skin to match your preference.

3. Print manager software – This is a centralized print control. You can automatically supervise the printer in your Internet Cafe while your customer is using it and then you can price the process. This software is also suitable for libraries, schools, corporations and others.

4. Bandwidth manager – This is also a “no client installation” software. Bandwidth manager can help you to control the download and upload rates for every computer in your network which can help to make other computer work with the same speed because when downloading some files, the computer will steal most of the connection speed then other computers will face the low speed connection. This software can help you to reduce your overall bandwidth requirements which in another word is saving your money. In addition, it also can filter websites, shares Internet connection, and integrates with third-party software using API.

Weekly Poll Result 3

Link to us: http://sn.im/v02cn

Hi guys, it's me Jason as usual. Well on our poll last week, not much response on the quiz poll. Then we try to understand the situation of our weaknesses however we still hope that all our viewers would spend sometime giving and comment on our weaknesses on our weekly poll. On the previous week poll, our question asked on 'Do you often visits Internet Cafe?'

Before I go for more information on our poll, lets view the chart results first and understand the situation.

As you can see on the chart, 63% says that they visits I.C depending when they plan outing with their friends. I realize that, even myself visits internet cafe based on the same reason. First thing is social interactivity and gaming purposes. To all my viewers, would you agree on my statement as i stated? If there is comment or feedback feel free to share with us as a topic discussion.

Second and third is the same results on the 1st answer and the 2nd answer that is once in a blue moon and everyday. Both results are even as in 15%. Some people who are I.C-holic as we call it, will visit I.C often as in everyday. They would spend most of their hours there playing either alone or with groups. Why it is so? I believe that most of the player who plays game are more interested on LAN game such as Dota, Call of Duty Left 4 Dead and etc. However the obvious part that people doesn't visit I.C is because of they do not play games or interested with I.C.

The curious part that there is no respondent who respond saying that they visits I.C 1 week 1 time. In my experience I did before thus I realize that i do not visit I.C alone. I do visit I.C at least 1 time in a week. not many people are doing so because either their visiting it at least more than 1 or just better not go.

Now comes the last result that is visiting I.C more than 1 time in a week. It is true based on my research by looking it myself in I.C, I am able to see the same face at least minimum twice in a week. people who do so are usually people who are already working and they would spend their time after working hours in I.C. Purpose are also common as in gaming purposes.

Wow again is coming midnight and as usual coming to my bed time. Well I hope my results are sufficient based on my research I did. Again please don't hesitate by leaving your comment and fedback. We would be glad hearing information's from you.
Got to go now. Nights~~

Common Mistakes in Business

Link to us: http://sn.im/v02c9

Helloooo readers....how's health? Wish the best of health to you all

I believe you all read the post Mr ducky did. well that post is tips on starting your own internet cafe business. He did well on that. So my post related to his in a way because mine is talking about some common mistakes that people did when they started their own internet cafe.

People always say that the first impression matters most right? lets say you opened an internet cafe and for the grand opening, you gave free try-outs. You know people, some just want to compare the new one with your newly opened and some just want to get the free internet surfing, no matter what the reason, you still need to impress these people. If on the free try-outs, these people who came face problems like PC not working or have to restart, cannot connect to server or many other reasons, your first impression gone just like that.

So what you need to do is to make sure that your PCs are made of a good brand of hardwares. A brand that people know it's reputation. That's one, another one is slow PC. Please make sure that you don't buy slow PCs, always get the fastest PC in the market for your internet cafe because people that visit internet cafes expect to have a fast flowing experience and if you fail to do so, you are gonna lose to the competitors. This one can fall into the bad maintenance problem because bad maintanance also can cause your computers to slow down.

Always keep up with competitors and get the latest softwares and hardwares to make sure that your internet cafe can maintain its performance thus keeping the customers to come back.

Another common problem in internet cafes is smokers. These smokers can enter to the non-smoker area but non-smoker would not go to the smokers are because they hate the smokes. So it is better to just make your internet cafe a non-smoking one because the amount of non-smokers are larger than smokers when it comes to visiting an internet cafe. Majority counts and failing to do so keeps your customers away.

One major common problem is the lack of computers. You know that most of the people that goes to internet cafes always in groups, rarely alone because 'the more the merrier' so it is your duty and responsibility as the owner to make sure that these customers that are in groups can always get their PCs because when their happy, you are happy. Always make sure that there are always computers available for your customers. Customer satisfaction is gold. Hahaha....

what i just post is only a few of the problems but i focus on the most common so that you readers won't be reading through a whole lot more. So this is it for this week and i'll be back for next week...Thank You

Weekly Poll Result 2

Link to us: http://sn.im/v02az

Hey guys its me again Jason on duty. Well my post is always like soldier style right? Haha It's going to change soon. Ok lets straight to the point. As you all know that im the person in charge on the poll session and I am gladly to announce the result for previous week. Again I would like to thank you all our readers for participating our weekly quiz and feel free to give more of your feedback to let us improve and serve you better.

On our previous week question was about 'What's your main purpose visiting Internet Cafe? This question is very interesting and the feedback was better then before. Our choices of answers are gaming, net surfing, socializing, and no internet at home.

This are chart on our results on the pass week.

As you can see on our chart, most of the response supported that their purpose of visiting Internet Cafe is because of gaming. Why gaming? The result proven 34% and no internet connection 23%. Internet Cafe was once created not for gaming purposes however at came up with a trend when all the youngsters this days has no internet at home, so they visit Internet Cafe for gaming purposes. Basically gaming and no internet at home is basically related to most of our answers however depending on the readers reason for visiting Internet Cafe.

Another reason that also was supported 2nd most at 26% is because net surfing. Internet Cafe was created for net surfing and till now the trend is there. People visit Internet Cafe either they do their work, or net search for information, facebook-ing, checking mails, twitter and many more sites. Reason? They also might not have internet at home or they just don't want to be home. Haha

Last but not least, social purposes at 17%. Ok social purposes mean that people actually plan to go to Internet Cafe to social with their friends or online friends. A lot of teenagers now this days visits Internet Cafe with big groups of friends because there is 1 special advantages that they are able to socialize. LAN games are the main reason because at home, people are just playing alone and it's going to be bored. However in Internet Cafe is a whole different thing where they can meet up and play side by side. If based on socializing through net, is similar to net surfing.

Wow guys, it's very late now and I'm kind of tired now and going off to bed as usual. Well I'm calling of duty now. Bye

Enforcing the Law

Link to us:http://sn.im/v02ad

Hello fellow readers. I am here yet again for my weekly post along with my IC members.

I did my research and i found an article on the Malay Mail website. It says "Selangor Mulling New Cyber Cafes Law. This article was posted in June last year means in 2009. State executive councillor for Local Government, Research and Study Ronnie Liu Tian Khiew was arguing about childrens and teenagers who are loitering at cyber cafes until after midnight.

He advised the local councils to strictly enforced guidelines on cyber cafes in Selangor which is that children under the age of 12 should not be allowed into cyber cafes when night falls. He said that they have to step up enforcement to solve the problem of having under age children staying up untill 10pm at cyber cafes.

He also reminded the cyber cafes owners that their licenses can be revoked if they fail in following the regulations. Liu added that it is the local councils duty to ensure that all cyber cafes follow the guidelines.

The Malay Mail contacted the Petaling Jaya Council deputy president Puasa Md Taib and he said that they are making an effort to ensure that cyber cafes are to operate untill 1am only. That is however is a hard task because out of 300 cyber cafes, only 37 have their business licences. Puasa also mentioned that the problem of the teenagers loitering does not fall under their juridiction, it is the responsibility of the Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor or the Welfare Service Department.

One reader read the article and commented that it is better for the teenagers to be playing computer games rather than lepakking outside with all the 'mat rempits' and gangsters. And he/she also commented that for some working adults and students, cyber cafe is a "healthy and safe recreational place". This reader added that if they wanted to limit the cyber cafe operation hours to 1am, then why not do the same to the 24 hours convenient store to stop the teenagers from buying alcohol.

In my opinion, this reader is right in a way, i mean it better to be killing zombies and monsters in game rather than killing yourself in gangfights, illegal races and such nonsense right or not people? What do you think? Any opinion just put comment on my post okay?

THANK YOU and SEE YOU AGAIN

Tips to protect your privacy

Link to us:http://sn.im/v029v

Well, as you always go to the internet café to play game or surfing the internet, you should know some precaution to protect your own privacy. There are two types of risks that you will encounter if you did not pay attention to it. First, internet café is a public computer for you to use, you will not know what software has already installed in it, and so it was dangerous that may be there are some software that can spy or install your passwords. Examples of the software are key loggers and spyware and others. Second which is people around you also can peeping and figure out your passwords.

Here are some tips to protect your own privacy.

1. Always log out : Whenever you want to leave your computer or finish using it, you better log out your all the websites that consists of your username and password.

LAN or WAN?

Link to us : http://sn.im/u6g42

Hi readers...here we are again. My friend Mr Ducky talked of disadvantages of going to the internet cafe.

Do you know what is Local Area Network(LAN) and Wide Area Network(WAN)?? I believe i do because i am learning about it in my class...hahaha
Okay...Local Area Network used for a small geographical area like our own Internet Cafe. LAN is computers and devices that share the same line or wireless link. This LAN can serve a few like two or three computers for example a home network or serve hundreds of computers like an internet cafe. However, internet cafes uses mainframes,high-performance computers to handle the server so do not compare the home network with the one the internet cafes use.

WAN is not like LAN as WAN covers a larger geographical area like province, state or country and this WAN often connects smaller networks like LAN for example. I got one question for you people.
Do you think the internet cafe you always visit to uses a wired LAN or wireless LAN? I believe every single internet cafe out there operating is using the wireless LAN because wireless LAN is cheaper to install and easier to maintain rather than the wired LAN.

Disadvantages of Internet Cafe

When there are advantages, there are also disadvantages, same goes for everything. Nowadays, high school students are absenting school classes to go to the internet cafe to play online games, this will result in the student failing their exams and have terrible result. Plus, parents will blame the school for not teaching the student well enough.

poor result

Besides that, this can also cause the student to spend and not knowing how to save their money because all the money is being used for playing games in the internet cafe and even at young age they are facing money problem. Even worst, many students can easily get access to pornography websites and downloading it through the internet. This small issue can cause big problems which are many teenagers now having sex and young girls getting pregnant and other horrible things happened. This will increase the number of rape cases in the future.

rob money

Moreover, privacy also can get corrupted due to the internet cafe. Online money transactions are growing in day by day, this causing people who type the account number and password in the computer which can be traced by other users on the same computer. When they have access to other people's account, they can deposit money to other accounts and this is a crime. A person who committed this crime cannot be caught because the internet cafe is a public place for everyone and alot of people using the same computers everyday.

Advantages of Internet Cafe

Link to us: http://snipurl.com/u54py

Hi it's David and yesterday I just came back from Hong Kong. It was a fun trip. Haha...
I have did some research on advantages of Internet Cafe. There are a lot of advantages of internet café. Internet café’s are located world wide and easily found, so people who are overseas or far away from their homes can easily get access to their webmail or instant messaging services to keep in touch with work, families or even with their friends. Apart from that, people can afford this service as they charges a customer per hours of usage and this is a benefit for any individual that cannot afford to buy their own computers or people without portable notebook which are very expensive these days. Even people with notebook cannot complete their work without the usage of internet and there are not many wireless ‘hot-spots’ where they can get access to nowadays, and this is what internet cafés solved.

In this modern life, people gather and seek informations by surfing through the internet and as internet cafes pretty much everywhere,so people visit internet cafes rather than travel to the library because it is much easier and faster and most of the information are on the internet. The internet café is not only for working but also pleasure. Now with the internet station connected to LAN, people can interact with other users that ar connected to the LAN. This service provided is custom for game play where it supports multiplayer games, which gamers can play the same game with other gamers around Asia such as China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and many more. This is where video arcades and arcades game are no longer needed, many of which are being closed down due to internet cafe.

Photobucket

There is not much impact or any fault to visit this places but it's the matter of how we treat this place, whether it's for our entertainment or working purposes.

Continue

Link to us : http://snipurl.com/u54r3

What's up people and how you all feeling? good or no good? Anyway, you're here so i'm gonna pick up for Jason where he had left out yesterday so for you people that returned, i personally thank you for revisiting.

Okay...so Jason posted a little bit on Internet Cafe and im gonna continue it. Why do us people, teenagers and young working adults are the ones that are most seen in these Internet Cafes? I mean young adults are working so why do they visit the cafes? Cannot afford the internet? Or cannot afford even a computer? Yeah yeah yeah....too many question marks here so i'm gonna tell why.

Time changed and we are in the cyber era so internet is a basic necessity now unfortunately not everyone can afford it. Like Jason said, last time these cafes are visited for studying purposes only. However now, these cafes are visited for entertainment purposes. Last time they use to open Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel,Microsoft Powerpoint and other softwares but now are online gaming, Youtube, Facebook and a whole lot other things that uses internet.

I'm a teenager or maybe a young adult so i know why people visit the cafe. I play games and that's the only reason i ever want to visit an Internet Cafe because you see, my laptop cannot withstand all these online games right so why not pay two bucks an hour to play Left4dead or Dragonica or the famous Dota. Besides, you go and play with your friends so that makes it more fun unless you're a loner that got no friends.

It is okay when you go to the Internet Cafe sometimes to play games but when it had become your second home, then you know you gotta stop. Don't be surprise because there are people like this and hopefully it's not you. If you are like this where the cafe is in fact your second home, please think of your love ones.

I think this is where i stop and go play some games, joking only people but yeah im ending my post so a big thank you to you all that read it till the end, hahaha.....Arigato and please come again
