Tips to protect your privacy

Well, as you always go to the internet café to play game or surfing the internet, you should know some precaution to protect your own privacy. There are two types of risks that you will encounter if you did not pay attention to it. First, internet café is a public computer for you to use, you will not know what software has already installed in it, and so it was dangerous that may be there are some software that can spy or install your passwords. Examples of the software are key loggers and spyware and others. Second which is people around you also can peeping and figure out your passwords.

Here are some tips to protect your own privacy.

1. Always log out : Whenever you want to leave your computer or finish using it, you better log out your all the websites that consists of your username and password. Websites such as bank account websites, check mail, instant messaging and others. If you just simply close the browser or restart the computer is not enough because if someone using the same websites or services after you, they might be able to trace your account and access it. Moreover, do not save your login information that allow automatic login. That will easier to let other users to access your account, so you should disable the option before you log in your account.

2. Staying with the computer : As I stated earlier in the first tip, do not leave your computer and if you want to away the computer in a period of time, you should log out all the websites that you have sign in and also close it. So that other users will not know what websites you are using and it can keep yourself safe from hacking.

3. Clear history and temporary files : The browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and others all will save the pages you have visited in the History folder or in Temporary Internet Files. Because of that, your password will also might be store in the browser if the option is enabled to save the username and passwords. Therefore, before you use the computer, you should go check the setting and delete all the history after you have done using the computer.

4. Avoid online financial transactions : You must avoid use online financial transaction in the public computer such as internet café. Instead you should find a safer place such home or friend’s house to do that. Examples for using online financial transaction are online banking, online shopping and other transactions that require you to enter the sensitive information like credit card or bank account details then you should not do in the public places. You will never know how the people will track your privacy.
